We’ve all heard by now how important gut health is for our overall health. Experts are now calling it the ‘2nd brain’ indicating the role it plays in our mental health. We’ve also learned that at least 70% of our immune system lies in the gut. And even more recently we’ve discovered how our gut microbiome can determine our weight!

But when we talk about ‘gut health’ what does that really mean? Its a big topic to navigate, and much of it can seem illusive to our everyday lives. I mean what is the ‘gut’ anyway?
